Back in the day, Ma Bell would have killed you for this.

For the sin of not having a ……… wait for it…………..”a landline”.

I’ve had one all my adult life and growing up as a boy of the ’60s and ’70s, if you could not use someone’s phone or get to a pay phone, you just were out of communication.

Those days are long gone.

Now for the first time, I only have a cell phone to allow me to be “reachable”.

I know how Opus feels.

The end of the line.

  1. We still have a couple of those. They work well enough when we lose power so we just keep them around on a shelf in case we ever need to plug them in. I can’t imagine who we’d call in that event but it’s nice to know that we can if we want to.
