Prague

While I thoroughly loved Vienna and am ready to go back-Prague had to be the highlight of the trip.

It started with dinner the night we arrived:

Our hotel had a wine restaurant in the basement-some what pricey, but we were really not in the mood to venture far afoot and it was late. So we said, “Why not?”

A good meal-but too expensive. The wine was very good as was the food.

The next day though we were up early and after breakfast we set out to cover some ground:

And on into the old square:

Stopped to look at the Astronomical Clock:

The clock has little windows that open and the 12 Disciples come dancing by. Quickly, it seems. But once in the square you can look around at a lot:

Plus from there its only a short walk to Charles Bridge and the view you really come to Prague for:

Looking up the river:

And the view the other way:

And the bridge itself:

One should not forget Wenceslas Square either:

And one thing you can’t see enough of in Prague is churches:

And finally, finding our way back home, which led us by the state theater:

More to come!

  1. Wow!

Nice city and the SO is quite an eyeful!

    Great pictures!

    Merry Christmas!
