As the totally screwed up merger continues:
While I was back in Shopping Mall, I learned what I long suspected, the little weasel who engineered this abomination had been hard at work over the past six months planting ideas with all the wrong people. This, after he lied to all of us and said he was not.
Time to keep sending out resumes.
I saw this a lot dealing with the east coast crowd. Always. A thing between east and west coast peers is agreed, a joint approach is agreed, a framework agreement is initialed and then a day later we on the west coast are blasted out of the water by a memo saying that the east coast has briefed this up to the DCINC at CINCLANT and he agrees with their new position. We simply stopped working with them on anything and everything and thanked God that CINCPAC stood firm when the whole FFC abortion rolled out. WE didn’t work for FFC and we didn’t answer to JFCOM either. My job was interesting and fun unlike my ‘peers’ on the east coast whose job was never done because they had to prepare and then brief 2nd Fleet, FFC and then JFCOM. They were all declared “essential personnel” so they could work late into the midnight hours at NECC without getting kicked out of the building. I think the latest I had to work over 3 years, was 1635 one day.
I like such kind of work done by author, keep it up.
