US Open comment

The S.O. and I have been following the US Open this weekend very closely. Thanks to the time difference and the fact that I have not been back to work yet following my return from Israel-we get to watch all the rounds. ( Well she did, I only got to watch the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. But in Israel I did watch the news. Even the Israeli channels talked about it and it was on one of the screens in Mike's. ( The one at the end of Dizengoff-not the one on the beach.).

I am enjoying, nonetheless, watching all these great players come rolling into the 4th round-OVER PAR. This is the way a golf tournament should be. These days of seeing someone come into the last day -12 or -13,  are crap.

Of course, I have to remind myself that even at 10 over-a guy is still coming out of this last round with a 74 or 75-a score I will never, ever, see.

But its all about proportion and seeing players miss shots like I do-is very satisfying. Especially the most amazing shot I saw today early in the 4th round where a guy hit the pin dead on-only to have his ball roll WAY back off the green and well into the fairway. He's going to be drinking a lot tonight I think.

There is hope for the rest of us.
