Far East Cynic

Next time-I’m taking the train.

Still have not got my car fixed-the body shop is waiting for all the parts to come in. SInce they are billing my insurance company directly and thus reducing any out of pocket expense by me-I really can't complain. Except for the fact its supposed to hover around 10 degrees this weekend, clear-but cold. For me that's less than optimum.

Thank God we have beer and firewood. And the S.O. bought some really tasty treats at the bakery. One plus of living where we do is the availability of fresh bread at a nearby bakery. The bread here is great!

At least the S.O. does not require a litmus test of what I think-in order to make sure I am warm and fed. šŸ˜‰

  1. You karken me back to 1982…when I had Williamsport, PA built VW Rabbit in Germany.  Engine caught fire and it took 9 months to get all of the parts from CONUS to the dealer doing th erepair work.  USAA wrote off the car but I was able to get repaired for half the total of write off.  Reinsured when back on the road…and had enough left over cash for down payment on a nice, new Volvo.
Still, only 1 car for 9 month sucked.  Fortunately as an Infantry Lieutenant I spent so much tim ein the field it didn't matter.
Have you tried the Stuttgarter Hofbrau yet?
    Dinkel-Acker is also really good.

  2. Stuttgarter Hofbrau is pretty good-I like it better than the Dinkel Acker.  For now I have two cases of Oettinger Export work through.

Compared to lousy American beer? Its all pretty good.
