Today is a beautiful spring day. Time to play some golf! This will be the first time I have played golf since last October. Big scores on the horizon I fear.
For those of you doing your taxes still-here are some tax tips from those who pay no taxes:
Skippy,
This is why the US needs to go to a Flat Tax. You can place brackets on income but it should be a Flat Tax.
I read the article to the link provided, and once again, you and the writers seem to be looking at things from your comfort zones, but not really looking at the street level. The linked article doesn’t make comments on the people I know who have no job, have not worked during the past year (not due to no jobs but simply for the fact that they choose not to work), yet are able to get an income tax refund. I personally know many people (friends and relatives) in this category who wind up getting at least $1200 or more in EITC or other rebates, and have not worked a day in the past year (being that they are on public assistance).
Also, the article states the gas taxes, and other taxes are included. One thing that is not really said about the current Pres. that he went back on his promise not to raise taxes on those making less than $250K. Back in 2009 (1 Apr – April Fool’s Day, jokes on you), he rasied the Federal cigarette tax by about .60 to make it about a $1 a pack for cigarettes. So much for tax the rich.
Will be interesting to see the income increase grouped in percentiles of 10s.
