A (formerly) Far East located web site devoted to The Resistance, discussion of all things political, travel, women, golf, women, adventure, and did I mention women?
Looks like Victoria park / Library. I never get to see that angle its always packed with millions of HKers buying blow up toys.

HK is some place I would love to get back to sometime, my visit in the spring of 2010 wasn’t enough to take it all in. I really missed out getting to see all of Kowloon. If I can just talk Mrs. Pirate in be willing to give up on her Paris dreams and go to Hiro and HK with me, I really think she would enjoy it all better. That being said, some of the best sea stories from my dad and my godfather usually start with “There I was on the Connie in HK….”

FWIW-you can get there from Chicago or New York in one leg. The airfare is not too bad.
Or leave Mrs. Pirate behind and I will give you my personal guided tour. 😉

I bet I can get there in one hop from SeaTac as well. As to having you as the tour guide. I don’t know, my luck we would end up in some of those bars just a street up from the Fleet Rec Center. The ones with all those nice Filipinio hostess, where they are more then willing to sit and drink with you or take you behind the black curtians in the back of the bar. I don’t think the Mrs would approve. 🙂 Now if you told her we would only be seeing the glory of authentic foods and culture of HK, I think I am all game and when night time came maybe slip out later for a post dinner drink or two.
Oh and by the way have you seen this commerical since we are talking about China?

I never go to those places-too expensive.
But I can do the Hight Road or the Low Road, I am equally fluent. We could start at the Night Market in Hong Kong and work our way south. Leave the Mrs. In Soho and come back for her later-while she chats up a wealthy investment banker. 🙂
