Flash Gordon was on TV tonight-probably the only really bad movie saved by it’s soundtrack.
As a result of the Queen sound track though-and all the hot babes in 70’s hairdo’s-it’s on my list of “movies I can watch again and again”.
Of course, as most of you know-its best to be about half in the bag before you start watching this movie. If getting stoned were still in the permissible column-that probably wouldn’t hurt either. Since its not-drink up!
Cali,
chances are that getting stoned is legal here. I’ll have to try that one and the movie.
Pitiful Earthlings!
I remember the movie (and yeah, its one in the so bad it’s good category) but forgot that Queen did the soundtrack.
I remember Ming the Merciless – I think he was the C.O. on the frigate I did my last Med Cruise on……
I remember he hype when this movie came out, and I thought it was pretty god at the time (I was a teenage boy, and enjoyed the T/A shots).
I would place the movie “Xanadu” in th esame category. ELO pretty much went downhill after that sound track.
Didn’t the Buck Rogers movie come out around the same time?
Buck Rodgers was a TV show-with lots of T&A though.
I much preferred the R-rated satire version “Flesh Gordon”. That one WAS funny. How can you not laugh about robot rapists and fighting hermaphrodites!
