My bag is still not. Now they say they don’t know where it is.
Oh and call me the fool…..the S.O. bought the BMW! With her money! The end of the world is imminent. It’s a good car if I do say so my self. There is a long story, but I think she made a good choice-I’m just really suprised she made it. I’m hoping I might have tipped the balance when I said, ” You have worked hard for your money, aren’t you entitled to have what you want, just once?”
Funny part was, I had to take her around to see about 4 other cars to convince her what I already knew-this car was in great shape mechanically and bodywise. It just was not in the color she wanted. It had taken a week to remind her that when it comes to a used car, engine and drive train are more important. I think part of her hesitancy was that she really did not believe I knew anything about cars. When a stupid car salesman told her the same thing I did, the wheels finally clicked. I knew it was what she wanted deep down-she’d been looking at BMW’s for a month on the internet.
So tomorrow looms with a couple of unexpected detours-trying to track down my bag being uppermost. I had two of my good suits made in Singapore in it. Is United going to pay for a trip back to the lion city so I can replace them? Don’t think so.
One other great thing I realized today-I have not seen an AFN commercial in over a month. Who says clouds don’t have silver linings?
Good luck with the bag — mine at least showed up on the same flight this weekend, mangled to be sure, but at least in the same timezone/grid…thanks UAL (not).
