She didn’t come up and ask, “What you loom nubber?” after you took her picture did she? That’s a very common scam on the walk along there.
I used do it (the walk, not the scam) every morning – our office was in New World Centre. I’d catch a minibus (yow lok, m’goi) from Conduck Doh down to the Ting Sing Ma Tau and take the bouncing ferry across the harbour (those grown men in their blue sailor suits amused me no end) … or in those days, sometimes I’d take a hovercraft (!OMG!) to TST east. Ah, I still miss HK!

Oh, sorry that photo is at Stanley – I was thinking it was on Tsim Sha Tsui harbour by the Performing Arts Centre… See, I need to go back and refresh my memory!
