A little background: About 4 months ago the rather large English teaching firm NOVA went down hard into bankruptcy. This was after about 11 weeks of not paying its teachers and making excuse after excuse as to why it could not make ends meet. The story got worse when it was revealed that, just like a an Exxon CEO or the President of United Airlines, the President and CEO of NOVA had lived a profligate lifestyle and literally taken the money and ran. Leaving a lot of wanna be swinging Gaijin high and dry. The stupid pink rabbit was their mascot and appeared in a whole bunch of TV commercials. Their ads were on every train-literally.
