If they are there letting America know we are still at war, then why no acknowledgement of their sacrifice and why are the supposed sequester cuts going to hit the military hard?  I guess no one in the Pentagon can tell the Emperor that he has on no clothes.

Don't think that was not orchestrated by the military ( gotta show a g–h!). 

I actually think it might have been a straight up attempt to remind the country that there are still people out there having to deal with the stupid wars.

What I don't get with the First Lady's appearance, why all of the military aides in uniform?  I thought that was taboo to do something like that.  And since when is the military used as a backdrop to announce the Best picture?  That is what I have more concerns about.  Imagine if "W" and Laura would have done something like that.
The realy bickering will not come from the RIght, but from the HIllary camp in a few years.  I am sure that Madame Hillary went off on someone for not having the insight to do that for her back in her days, and from the people I know who used to work in the White House at the time, they really had no love for the uniformed miltary there.  She or her surrogates will be the ones to bring it up even though Obama shouldnt be running again, but as a way to try to distance herself from his administration since none of her work as the Sec State did any good.
